The Latina/Latino Studies Program and La Casa Cultural Latina are collaborating with alumni to establish a Latina/Latino alumni organization. We envision that the organization will provide Latina and Latino alumni with a means for reconnecting with old acquaintances; opportunities to socialize and network with other alumni as well as current students; and a forum for Latina and Latino alumni to voice their opinions collectively and individually regarding issues affecting the Latino community at UIUC, among other benefits. This listserv will be used to inform alumni about the activities of the Latina/Latino alumni organization, to announce future alumni events in Champaign-Urbana and Chicago, and to solicit input from alumni.
