Jonathan Xavier Inda is associate professor of Chicana/o Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara and Visiting Associate Professor of Latina/Latino Studies at UIUC.  His research areas include the anthropology of globalization, governmentality and biopolitics, and the critical study of science, medicine, and the body.  Among his publications are Targeting Immigrants:  Government, Technology, and Ethics (Blackwell, 2006) and the edited volumes Race, Identity, and Citizenship (Blackwell, 1999), The Anthropology of Globalization (Blackwell, 2002), and Anthropologies of Modernity (Blackwell, 2005) .
